Mission Statement
Building on our long tradition of volunteerism, community and civic support
and independent spirit, we dedicate ourselves to the encouragement of reading
and the spreading of knowledge for the benefit of all who enter the North Wales
Library, now and into the future. We value books as beacons that can transport
us, guide us, inspire us, amuse us and teach us to love and respect one another.
The Library Board meets the second Monday of the Month at the
North Wales Borough Hall starting time is 7:00 PM . The meetings
are open to the public.

Library Information Update
- The North Wales Library has been in its current location since 1927.
We have outgrown our
space and need to expand. Expansion at our present
location is not possible. Therefore
we have purchased the building at
322 Pennsylvania avenue. Later this year we will renovate
the space
and turn it into a new Library with community space and activities.
To accomplish this
we will need the communities help both financial
and active voluteerism. To offer either or both
please call or stop
by the Library.
- Today the North Wales Library is used by a much larger community, including
the residents
of North Wales, Lansdale, Hatfield, Upper Gwynedd, and
Montgomery and Towamencin
Townships.
- The North Wales Library is much more than a collection of books. We
offer a variety of
reading, science and humanities programs, book clubs
for all ages as well as access
to required books on summer reading lists.
- Teachers with valid district IDs can borrow books from the library to
enhance their
classroom activities and classes are encouraged to visit
the library for on-site instruction.
Our evening hours provide access
to important educational materials
- The library has an exciting future ahead! We're planning to automate
our systems,
and offer access to library resources from your
home computer. We have also joined Access PA
thus allowing free membership
to any Pennsylvania resident.
- The North Wales Library is a vital part of the North Penn community and is moving
forward with our plans for an exciting future that will continue to meet the
needs of area residents. Visit our website frequently for updates on programming and
stop in to the library to check out what we have to offer.
